Janakpurdham: Kailash Sirohiya, Chairman of Kantipur Media Group, has been released on a deed of guarantee. Sirohiya, detained over a citizenship-related offense, was released following permission from the District Attorney Office, as confirmed by Dhanusha Police Office spokesperson Ranjan Awal.
The District Attorney decided that continued detention was unnecessary for further investigation under the Criminal Code. Sirohiya, who had been in Kathmandu for medical treatment, will now report to the District Police Office in Lalitpur if required for the investigation.
